VinFast VF 8 set for Nov. 2026 launch in PH, pre-orders now open

MANILA: VinFast Philippines expressed readiness for the launch of the second-generation VF8, which is scheduled to make its local debut next month. This makes the Philippines the first market outside Vietnam to offer this model.

To build anticipation, the brand’s local arm has opened the pre-order period, which runs from today until November 5. Reservations can be made at VinFast dealerships nationwide. 

According to VinFast, the Philippines will be the first market outside Vietnam to offer the VF 8—with the initial batch of units expected to be released within the launch month.

Early adopter promo

To encourage early bookings, VinFast Philippines is offering the first 1,000 customers who place a reservation and pay a non-refundable deposit of P5,000 to P10,000 a complimentary one-year battery subscription.

VinFast Philippines Chief Executive Officer Antonio Zara III attributed the early booking program to the strong local interest in the brand’s offerings. 

“The pre-order program is our way of giving Filipinos a chance to be among the first in the Philippines to experience our newest offering,” Zara was quoted as saying.

He added that the company looks forward to welcoming more customers to the VinFast ecosystem when the VF 8 makes its official Philippine debut.

While VinFast Philippines has yet to disclose the complete specifications of the Philippine-market VF 8, here are some details about the upcoming model.

Described by the company as a D-segment electric SUV, the VinFast VF 8 combines technology, design, and everyday practicality in a midsize package.

The model follows the marque’s “Tech Fluid” design philosophy, characterized by flowing lines, a sophisticated appearance, and styling intended to convey motion.

VinFast Philippines has also outlined warranty coverage for the upcoming SUV, consisting of a seven-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty, subject to the manufacturer's applicable terms and conditions.

If the features listed on VinFast Europe’s website are any indication of what the Philippine-spec version might offer, early adopters could expect the following amenities:

• Direct current fast charging
• 12.9-inch digital gauge cluster
• Virtual assistant
• Over-the-air updates
• 360-degree view camera
• Dual-zone automatic climate controls
• 60:40 split-folding rear seat

To note, the latest iteration of the VinFast VF 8 in Vietnam is equipped with a single motor that can deliver the following outputs:

The system draws power from a 60.13-kilowatt-hour battery pack, with a claimed driving range of 500 kilometers under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

According to published specifications, the second-generation VinFast VF 8's exterior dimensions are as follows:

More details, including the final Philippine-market specifications, equipment, and pricing, are expected to be announced closer to the model’s official launch next month.
