Volkswagen has announced the addition of new well-endowed trim levels for the VW ID. 5 SUV coupe: the Style Pro, Style Pro Performance, and GTX Style. The new trims effectively expand the range of the ID.5 family and make the nameplate more accessible to the Wolfsburg-based brand’s customers in the UK.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the new Style grades of the VW ID.5?

The new trims of the VW ID.5 are Style Pro, Style Pro Performance, and GTX Style.
  • How much are these models priced?

The ID.5 Style Pro is priced at £49,735 while the ID.5 Style Pro Performance is offered with a price tag of £51,210. The ID.5 GTX Style, on the other hand, is priced at £55,570.
  • “The ID.5 is packed with every convenience, innovation, and luxury that a customer might need, with only selected items on the optional extras list. That’s why it’s so exciting that the ID.5 Style has arrived, bringing with it a lower entry price for the model, but the same blend of sustainability, quality, and head-turning style that marks out ID. models from their competitors,” said Volkswagen UK ID. Family Product Marketing Manager Francesca McGuinn.

The ID.5 Style now comes as the family’s entry-level model with the Style Pro sitting below the Tech Pro and Max Pro, the Style Pro Performance placed under the Tech and Max Pro Performance variants, while the GTX Style bumped beneath the GTX Max.

Despite the Style trims being appointed a low rank in the variant hierarchy, it excels over its Tech and Max siblings in terms of range. Likewise, The ID.5 GTX Max comes with a 296-mile range while the GTX Style offers more with 300 miles.

Even with its entry-level position, the Style trims offer a comprehensive host of equipment, leaving only a few items to be optionally specified.

These include the energy-efficient heat pump (£1,050); 3-pin mains charging cable (£190); Trailer Hitch (£890); and, over the other ID.5 models, the Infotainment Package Plus (£1,350), which adds the acclaimed augmented reality head-up display, as well as a Dynaudio digital sound package and subwoofer.

A number of alternative alloy wheel designs and a vibrant array of paint colors can also be specified optionally, over the model’s standard Moonstone Grey paint and attractive 19-inch “Hamar” wheels.

The UK-spec ID.5 Style Pro, ID.5 Style Pro Performance, and ID.5 GTX Style models are built at VW’s net carbon-neutral Plant in Zwickau, Germany — a factory powered by renewable energy.
