Volkswagen presents Polo GTI Edition 25

Volkswagen has unveiled the Polo GTI Edition 25, a fitting limited anniversary-edition model of the iconic nameplate as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Limited to only 2,500 samples, the Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 will boast a host of exclusive anniversary equipment including a black roof, black side mirrors, and black glossy 18-inch Adelaide alloy wheels.

Inside are premium sports seats in perforated black-red leather with stitched GTI logos as well as glossy black decorative trim with red GTI lettering. The multifunctional sports steering wheel with paddle shifters also gets a “25” logo.

Additionally, a special “One of 2500” logo on the sill panel trim will remind owners that the vehicle they are driving is one of a limited number.

The Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 also comes standard with IQ.Light LED matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist and LED daytime running lights. Further, the optional Travel Assist forms part of the IQ.Drive assist package and allows for partially automated driving.

Power will come from a 2.0-liter TSI engine with 204 horses and 320 Newton-meters of torque. This setup propels the Polo GTI Edition 25 from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.5 seconds.

GTI fans are very important to us and our anniversary model is a way of marking this milestone together with them: celebrating 25 years of power, performance, sportiness, and fun driving in the Polo class,” commented Member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management for Sales, Marketing, and After Sales Imelda Labbé.

The Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 will be available to order in Germany from June 1, 2023, and is priced at €35,205 (approximately P2.124 million).
