Volkswagen announced that it has expanded the Touareg nameplate by adding an R-Line Tech Plus variant — a value-packed version of the midsize luxury crossover.

The Volkswagen Touareg R-Line Tech Plus trim level builds on the Touareg R-Line Tech grade. It adds exterior appointments, which are a set of 21-inch Suzuka black alloy wheels, an air suspension system, a panoramic sunroof, an electric tailgate, black roof rails, side mirrors with memory function, and a heated sunscreen.
Additionally, it gets a heated leather-wrapped multi-function sports steering wheel with shift paddles, a 15-inch Innovision cockpit with active info display, and 30-color interior ambient lighting.
The new Volkswagen Touareg R-Line Tech Plus is offered in two powertrain options. One is equipped with the brand’s 3.0-liter TDI diesel engine that makes 227 horsepower and another, fitted with the more powerful setup that puts out 282 horses.
They are priced at £64,520 (P4.378 million) and £67,200 (P4.56 million) respectively.
To note, the Volkswagen Touareg was once offered in the Philippines as part of the initial offerings of the Ayala-led AC Motors, together with the Tiguan and Touran.
