Yamaha PH celebrates 15th anniversary

The 2022 Yamaha Day celebration in the country served as an extra special occasion for the Japanese motorcycle brand’s local arm as the company also had its 15th-year anniversary of doing business locally.

In a statement, Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc. (YMPH) said that the week-long celebration included special activities and events for everyone associated with the brand.

Themed “Ties that Bind”, YMPH shared that the Yamaha Day celebration “extends to every customer, enthusiast, and aspiring riders that have found their passion for motorcycles.”

The local motorcycle distributor unveiled the Yamaha History Board in their Batangas headquarters last July 20. The board illustrates how the legacy of Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd. — now known as Yamaha Corporation — began in 1887 and evolved in the establishment of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. in 1955, all the way to today. It also showed how YMPH grew to what is now today.

The following day, YMPH employees were treated to a fun-filled day at Aqua Planet in Pampanga. Aside from that leisure activities, the day was highlighted with the kite — wearing the Yamaha Day logo — being flown by Yamaha executives. The company also gave 15 motorcycles at the event.

To conclude the celebration, YMPH held another event at Kingsborough International Convention Center on July 22. The event, the company shared, served as the official debut of “Revs Crush '' signature hand signal (which is gestured by forming a half heart and pumping it).

“The week-long celebration was the first since the 2020 lockdown, and it was a welcome opportunity for all Yamaha employees to reunite. It is clear that the bonds that bind remain strong and will only become stronger in the years to come. This is also a promise to all Yamaha enthusiasts that the company will continue to cultivate its relationships through its products, service, and activities,” YMPH concluded.
