Yamaha PH confirms ‘El Diablo’, ‘Franky’ arrival  

Following the teaser released earlier this month, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has confirmed the arrival of the brand’s two MotoGP stars early next month.

Recently, the Japanese motorcycle distributor in the country announced on its Facebook page that Fabio Quartararo (also known as “El Diablo”) and Franco “Franky” Morbidelli will be riding the tracks of the Clark International Speedway on March 4.

“As greatness arrives on our tracks, their presence will serve as an inspiration to aspiring Filipino riders who dream of being in the MotoGP,” YMPH expressed belief.

The two will be joined by homegrown talents namely McKinley Kyle Paz (nicknamed “The Wonderboy”), April KingMascardo (“Rocket Boy”), and Gian Carlo Mauricio (“The Flash”) for YMPH’s “The Apex Arrival” program.

Quartararo and Morbidelli’s arrival in the country was made after YMPH invited Maverick Viñales back in 2019 when the rider was still part of the team. Prior to that, Valentino Rossi (famously known as “The Doctor”) also made several trips to Manila, one of them was when he rode the light rail transit (LRT) at the Monumento Station in Caloocan.

“After years of waiting, racing fans can finally share the racetrack with the best Yamaha has to offer in the MotoGP,” YMPH shared.

The company said that aside from the two’s much-awaited appearance, YMPH will conduct a special track day that will highlight its racing motorcycles as well as a raffle to draw the winner for an all-expense paid trip to Malaysia to watch the MotoGP race there.
