The local distributor of the Japanese motorcycle brand Yamaha has teamed up with humanitarian group Care PH to help the typhoon-ravaged areas in the Bicol Region.

Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc. (YMPH) extended assistance to the victims of the typhoons Rolly and Ulysses after conducting a donation drive from its employees, to which the company doubled the amount of every 100-peso donation, in their bid to “spread the spirit of kindness this season.”

In a statement, YMPH noted that the initiative “has come to aid through Yamaha Cares. It is part of the company’s goal to enrich people’s lives and give back to the community by helping them to overcome the challenges.”

“In this collaborative effort, Yamaha was able to collect more than P800,000 of monetary support, along with the company’s motorcycles and generators to be used for mobility and power,” Yamaha Philippines stated.
