Things we like

    • Feature-rich: Though it’s an entry-level scooter, the NMAX comes with a fully digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, disc brakes, and attractive styling.

Refined powertrain: The Yamaha NMAX comes with a very refined 155cc engine which offers a smooth performance. Acceleration is one of the best in class

Stable cruiser: The maxi-scooter has impressive cruising capability. It can easily cross 62mph on highways with dual carriageways. The ride is well-balanced.

City performer: The Yamaha NMAX is a great city performer and handles extremely well in traffic. Turning corners is easy.

    • Aggressive look: The oversized front fairing, stepped up seat, bulky rear end, and fatter tires make the Aerox 155 an aggressive-looking scooter.

Feature loaded: The scooter is fully loaded with disc brakes on both wheels, a fully digital instrument cluster, keyless ignition and a start-stop system

Capable powertrain: The Aerox 155 is hauled by a fuel-injected, 155cc engine that produces 15 PS and 14 Nm, making the scooter a perfect city two-wheeler

Massive storage: The scooter has 25 liters of under-seat storage which is the biggest in its class. This makes the Aerox 155 an immensely practical scooter

Things we don’t like

    • Basic design: The design of the NMAX is extremely basic. There’s not much thrill here. Most of its rivals  have a far more attractive design

Overpriced: The NMAX may come as overpriced to some buyers as it doesn’t have LED lighting. Other segment-standard features are expected from it

Small console: The digital instrument cluster of the NMAX is rather small. It’s often difficult to read the numbers, particularly during rains.

Floorboard storage: The maxi-scooter doesn’t have floorboard storage space which makes the vehicle unpractical for city travelling. The only storage space is located under the seat.

    • Poor fuel economy: The Aerox 155 has a less than average fuel economy because of the fatter tires. Its competitors return a better mileage

Ride quality: The scooter has a stiff suspension. This impacts the ride quality. Almost all bumps and thuds can be felt while riding

Vibration: While driving at a higher speed, the rider may experience vibrations on the handlebar. This is very unsettling for a scooter.

Shorter wheelbase: The Aerox 155’s wheelbase is shorter than its competitors. Taller riders may find less legroom. An uncomfortable riding position hampers ride quality
