Bajaj for sale in the Philippines
Bajaj is an Indian motorcycle brand and is considered the world’s third largest manufacturer of two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles. It is also the third best selling brand in India. Bajaj is distributed in the Philippines through Kawasaki Philippines Corporation. The two companies share some motorcycle platforms such as the Kawasaki-Bajaj models.
Although this brand lags behind Honda and Hero Moto Corp in the Indian market, it has secured itself as the largest exporter of motorcycles in its country. Bajaj traditionally only makes and sells scooters, motorcycles and auto-rickshaws, but lately it has also entered into car production. Bajaj earns 35 percent of its sales from exports; almost half of which are sold in Africa.
Performance and technology
Bajaj first entered the local motoring scene in 2003 through its venture with Kawasaki. Their business model is fairly simple- Bajaj Auto develops and builds its bikes in India and ships them to the Philippines. Kawasaki then fine-tunes the motorcycles to suit local regulations. The bikes are then put on the market under the Kawasaki-Bajaj name.
Bajaj first started to create and sell motorcycles in the 1980s when bicycles were still the primary transport in India. Today the brand has expanded to more than 51 countries and is known for its technological innovations in the different segments of the motoring industry. Some of revolutionary technologies they created include Digital Twin Spark ignition (DTSi), the SNS engine and exhausTEC.
The revolutionary engine designs of Bajaj mean their motorcycles are some of the most fuel efficient models in their respective segments. It has also put the brand on the motoring map and is closing in on Japanese labels in terms of quality and production.
