Audi A5 Overview
The Audi A5 is a line of compact executive cars first released in 2007. The German auto manufacturer has since offered the A5 in various body types. Besides coupe, the A5 is also available in Sportback and convertible. In 2016, Audi released an all-new, second-generation A5 coupe based on the ninth generation of the Volkswagen Group MLB Platform. The current A5 Coupe comes in three models: the A5 Premium, the A5 Premium Plus, and the A5 Prestige.
Audi A5 Interior
Inside, the A5 oozes with German luxury. the posh cabin is loaded with modern tech features that begin with the Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster that shifts to three different visual modes: Classic, Sport, and Dynamic. The virtual cockpit is the background for the multi-function 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters. Perched at the center of the dashboard just beside the instrument cluster is the 10.1-inch infotainment display compatible with Apple CarPlay and Google Android auto. The A5 Prestige also gets an MMI navigation system, Audi connect, and a Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system with 19 speakers and 3D sound. The three-zone automatic air conditioning system, dark aluminum ellipse inlays, ambient lighting, and leather upholstery and trims all add to the premium luxury feel of the interior.
Audi A5 Exterior

Athletic body lines on the front hood continue all the way to the side and rear for a sporty, modern look. The rear features a sculpted design that highlights the LED taillights and dual exhaust at the bottom. A slight flair on the trunk, panoramic roof and shark fin antenna on top completes the contemporary look. The A5 rides on a set of 18" 5-double-spoke star design rims wrapped in all-season tires. This German luxury vehicle has a lightweight body composed of steel and aluminum. It measures 4,696 mm long, 1,369 mm tall, 2,027 wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,764 mm.
Audi A5 Ride & Handling
This German luxury coupe is very assertive when it comes to navigating urban traffic. The transmission is not jetty and shifts off quickly with very little intrusion to power delivery. It may not be as athletic as a sportscar but the A5 coupe delivers composed handling and engaging driving experience. Steering is accurate thanks to the speed-sensitive electromechanical power steering system. Body rolls when tackling curves are minimized thanks to its standard all-wheel drive for tons of road grip.
The ride quality is smooth and cushioned thanks to the 5-link front and rear independent suspension system. Insulation is also good as the noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are minimal. The plush leather seats are low yet comfortable enough for short rides and long journeys. The rear seats offer ample leg, shoulder and elbow room for two full-size passengers to sit comfortably for long rides though it can accommodate up to three passengers. The flat-folding rear seats also provide additional flexibility in cargo space as support for the small trunk space of the A5. Cup holders and storage bins peppered throughout the interior makes for an organized car.
