Ford Territory Hybrid Overview
The introduction of the Ford Territory Hybrid ushered in the American brand’s entry into the local hybrid market. This electrified, 5-seater, mid-size SUV delivers a new level of power and speed on the highway, while building on the proven practicality and reliability of its predecessors. The Ford Territory Hybrid comes in two variants - the base trim, Trend, which is priced at ₱1.399 million, and the higher trim, Titanium X, which is priced at ₱1.599 million. This HEV is available in six colours: Blue Panther, Cactus Gray, Panther Black, Star White (exclusive to Trend), Crystal Pearl White, and Oasis Green (last two are exclusive to Titanium X).

Ford Territory Hybrid Interior
The Ford Territory Hybrid’s cabin offers plenty of room for five passengers. There are generous amounts of headroom and legroom both in the first and second rows. The higher trim features perforated leather seats, while the base trim gets the synthetic version. Regardless of the material, this HEV’s seats are pretty well-padded and offer good cushioning and ergonomics for everyone on board. Meanwhile, the higher trim also gets a multi-color ambient lighting for a more premium vibe inside.
Upfront, you have a high-tech dashboard with a 12-inch infotainment display as its centerpiece. Its infotainment is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition compatibility, and is linked to an Arkamys Sound Stage for top-notch acoustics around the vehicle. The downside of its cabin, however, is its lack of physical buttons and knobs, which might be a bit of an inconvenience for other drivers. But, on the plus side, the interface of its infotainment display is super responsive and easy-to-use.
Meanwhile, drivers of the higher trim get a premium cockpit, which offers a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. On the other hand, owners of the base trim are given the 7-inch version and a soft feel steering wheel. The Titanium X variant also comes with a wireless charger for an added layer of functionality and convenience.

Ford Territory Hybrid Exterior
The Ford Territory Hybrid looks more modern than ever. It has a striking, futuristic-looking facade enhanced by a new honeycomb grille and sleek LED headlights that follow a half C-like pattern. The Titanium X variant features a coast-to-cost LED bar for a more premium touch.
Furthermore, its side profile looks robust and elegant at the same time. The higher trim flaunts sporty-looking 19-inch alloy wheels, while the base trim gets the 18-inch counterparts. Puddle lamps are also integrated into the Titanium X’s door mirrors for more visibility, especially at night.
Meanwhile, it has an assertive-looking back end accentuated by a blacked-out bumper and LED tail lights, which look more aggressive than before. The higher trim gets a hands-free lift gate for more convenience. Additionally, both variants come with aluminum roof rails for extra storage. However, only the higher trim comes with a panoramic moonroof.
The Ford Territory Hybrid line measures 4,685 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,706 mm in height. It has a 2,726 mm wheelbase and a 185 mm ground clearance.

Ford Territory Hybrid Ride & Handling
The Ford Territory Hybrid utilizes a suspension combination of a MacPherson Strut at the front and a Multi-Link independent type at the rear. This suspension setup is tuned more for comfort than performance. It is agile to maneuver even through traffic and has decent absorption of bumps and other road imperfections. However, its steering lacks a little bit of response when driving at higher speeds. Hence, it would be best to hit sharp turns or corners with extra precaution. But, overall, you and everyone on board can enjoy a pliant and stable ride inside this HEV.
-
Ford Territory Hybrid Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Ford Territory Hybrid runs on a hybrid engine, which consists of a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor that is powered by a 1.83 kWh Lithium Ion Nickel Cobalt Manganese High Voltage battery pack. Its gasoline engine produces a power output of 150 PS and a torque of 230 Nm, while the motor generates an electric power of 218 PS and an electric torque of 315 Nm. This HEV’s motor is mated to a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid automatic transmission with a Rotary e-Shifter. It is equipped with three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.
Unlike its predecessors, you won’t have to worry about experiencing turbo lags with this HEV model. This SUV’s hybrid system generates a smooth, linear power delivery, allowing drivers to easily overtake slower vehicles on free-flowing highways. In the city, this HEV boasts outstanding efficiency even in mixed conditions. Hence, you’ll be able to rely on this HEV in your daily commute and your occasional out-of-town trips with family and friends.

Ford Territory Hybrid Braking & Safety
In terms of safety, the Ford Territory Hybrid Titanium X variant comes with the brand’s driver-assist technology, which includes an adaptive cruise control with stop and go, auto high beam, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping aid, and front parking sensors. However, its base trim doesn’t come with this same set of ADAS. It is equipped with a regular cruise control and standard safety and security features.
This HEV comes with front ventilated disc brakes and rear solid discs. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, and an electronic stability program with traction control.
-
Ford Territory Hybrid Verdict
The Ford Territory Hybrid is a very solid choice for consumers who are planning to buy their first electrified vehicle. It is feature-packed, peppy and smooth on the highway, and is impressively efficient in the city. And, with a minimal price increase over its gasoline-powered predecessor, this HEV currently delivers outstanding value for money.
