The Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV’s interior offers a good mix of comfort and functionality. At the front, it comes with a driver ergonomic cabin equipped with seats that provide supportive cushioning for the driver and his or her passenger. Exclusive to the driver is an electronic power steering wheel and a predominantly-analog instrument cluster, which is already outdated for modern EV standards.

That said, one downside of this vehicle is its dated interior features for its price point. For entertainment, it only has a traditional 2DIN audio unit that offers AM/FM radio, USB, and AUX. But, to make up for this lack of tech, Foton gave this model a generous amount of payload capacity, which ensures an effective and efficient cargo hauling capability for your business’ daily needs. 

From the outside, the Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV looks like a slightly-refined version of its diesel-powered counterpart. It sports a Foton emblem with a blue casing, signifying its electrified personality. It also has a blue strip on its white center grille with grey accents. Underneath it, is a lower grille with a honeycomb-like pattern. Like its diesel counterpart, it has halogen headlights and fog lamps. For enhanced visibility, it also comes with DRLs. Meanwhile, at the rear, it also has a high-mounted brake light along with its taillights.

The Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV measures 5,320 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, 2,280 mm in height, and 3,050 mm in wheelbase. It has a minimum ground clearance of 169 mm. This vehicle runs on 15-inch radial wheels.

Like its diesel-powered counterpart, the Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV utilizes a suspension combination of a Double Wishbone Independent Suspension at the front and a Leaf Spring Independent Suspension at the rear. For its size, this van is easy to handle and drive, making it an ideal city vehicle. It also has decent absorption of bumps and uneven concrete pavements. It offers a relatively smooth and comfortable ride for your everyday cargo needs.

The Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV is powered by a full-electric powertrain that combines a single Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which produces a maximum power output of 116 hp and a maximum torque of 290 Nm, with a Lithium-ion battery that has a total capacity of 50.23 kW and a driving range of 195 km. Its battery has a direct current (DC) charging time of 0% to 100% in 1.5 hours and an alternating current (AC) charging time of 7.5 hours. This van runs on a single-speed automatic transmission system.

It has a decent amount of power delivery and acceleration for daily cargo hauling in the city. However, range anxiety might be an issue with this vehicle if you are taking this car out of town. It is best to use this within the city or a proximity where there are assured charging stations. But, overall, this car runs smoothly and efficiently for a van its size.

In terms of safety, the Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV is equipped with a reverse camera, airbags, as well as protective features for its brake setup, namely, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). It utilizes disc brakes at the front, while drum brakes at the rear.

For a cargo van, the Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV might be a little bit on the pricier side of things.
