Haima V70

The Haima V70 offers a premium interior design that all passengers can enjoy. It does not look and feel entry-level inside thanks to its adjustable brown imitation leather seats and piano lacquer audio panel. The driver can enjoy a trip-computer instrument cluster that emits an ice blue background light and a steering wheel with a titanium silver trim. At the front it has a super fiber armrest that could be used as additional cushioning or a storage to secure personal belongings. All-around, it is equipped with power windows, dust and pollen filter, and a temperature set-up displacement. Its luggage compartment, at 110 L, however, could still be improved. 

A minor flaw in the Haima V70 is its outdated 8-inch multi-function LCD touch screen multimedia system that only offers AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, and ports for AUX, USB, and SD card. Giving it either an Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (or both) would really be a huge upgrade for this model. 

If you pass by the Haima V70, you will definitely notice its shiny center grille that gives it a premium outside appearance. It is equipped with halogen headlights, LED DRLs, and front fog lamps, which enhance and illuminate the vehicle’s sophisticated look at night. At the back, it has LED brake lamps and a single high-mounted one above. On top, the car also has a luggage rack that will definitely be convenient and functional for families who heavily pack during trips. However, the Haima V70 does not have a sunroof, which puts it at a disadvantage against modern MPVs that offer such feature. 

To complete the look, this car is equipped with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels. This MPV is 4,750 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,695 mm in height. It also has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm and minimum ground clearances of 140 mm when unloaded, while 110 mm when fully-loaded. 

In terms of suspension, the Haima V70 utilizes a suspension combination of an independent MacPherson strut at the front and an independent multi-link at the rear. This combination will allow you to lightly steer the car and withstand road bumps or any rough terrain. This MPV can offer you and all passengers a comfortable driving experience both in urban and rural areas.

The Haima V70 is powered by a 1.5 L, 4-inline, gasoline engine with iVVT and turbo-charger that produces a maximum power output of 156 hp and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. It runs on a 6-speed automatic transmission system and follows a front wheel drive type. Comparison-wise, its engine is slightly weaker compared to its sibling’s (Haima S7). In addition, its fuel consumption of 7.5L per 100 km is decent but is not groundbreaking in any way. Ultimately, for an MPV, this is a decent daily vehicle regardless if you are frequently stuck in traffic or passing through free-flowing highways. 

Security is not an issue for the Haima V70 as it is equipped with a long list of safety features. It is equipped with systems for anti-lock braking, brake assistance, brake override, traction control, hill start assistance, braking for electric parking, and electronic cruise control. It safeguards all passengers with various warnings, locks, and child security mechanisms. Aside from these, the Haima V70 also has four units of ISOFIX system for the child safety seats in the second row. Hence, this car is really practical and reliable for parents who have children aged below 10. In terms of braking, it uses discs for both front and rear.
