Comfortable but not fuel efficient
The MG RX5 is a nice compact crossover but is quite heavy. As a result the car suffers in fuel economy and the 1.5-litre engine lags in performance. The mileage is around 5-6kmpl in congested traffic which slightly increases on the highway. It’s not a bad car to drive after all. The engine is quiet and smooth. The steering too is light which makes the RX5 a bit more agile than regular crossover-SUVs. The suspension system does a commendable work and absorbs rod imperfections pretty well. The cabin is comfortable with good rear-seat space. Taller passengers can sit comfortably.
