Suzuki Carry

Inside, the Suzuki Carry has a simple interior that is just enough to comfortably accommodate the driver and all passengers when they are transporting goods and/or services. This vehicle offers apple legroom, an air conditioning system with a heater, cup holder, sliding drivers seat, and an instrument panel lower box for more compartments or storage. It also ensures comfortable maneuvering for the driver since it has electric power steering. One minor issue with the Carry, however, is its outdated technological features. It only has the old-fashioned AM/FM radio. 

One of the reasons why the Suzuki Carry is one of the most popular commercial vehicles in the country is its generous cargo capacity. For a smaller-sized commercial vehicle, it can accommodate up to 940 kg of payload, making this a practical and reliable choice for your transportation needs. 

Aside from this, the Carry’s interior is also durable like its exterior. Its Cargo Van variant is equipped with a Marin plywood inner panel, while its Utility Van variant has Gray-painted corrugated plate flooring. Although these features are not flashy or luxurious in any way, these ensure that the vehicle is strong enough to contain whatever kind of cargo. 

The Suzuki Carry’s exterior features are very straightforward. Since it is a commercial vehicle, its body is designed to withstand the changing weather conditions in the country, enabling it to effectively perform its heavy-duty capabilities on a daily basis. The different variants of this vehicle are equipped with exterior features that make activities easier for people who use these. Its Dropside variant has a low bed for easier loading and unloading of cargo, while its Utility and Cargo Vans have stepboards to reduce the effort exerted to enter and exit the vehicle. Meanwhile, its Lineman Vehicle has a ladder rack that not only enables safer loading and unloading of cargo, but also ensures maximization of available space/storage. 

In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki Carry’s length ranges from 4,195 mm to 4,344 mm. All variants have the same width of 1,765 mm. Meanwhile, in terms of height, it ranges from 1,910 mm to 2,515 with a ladder rack for the Lineman Vehicle. This model has a 160 mm ground clearance, which is decent for operating both on urban and rural roads. Aside from this, it runs on a durable set of 13-inch steel wheels.

In terms of suspension, the Suzuki Carry utilizes a MacPherson strut with coiled spring at the front, while an over-slung type leaf spring at the rear. This commercial vehicle is easy to handle since its suspension system has mediated the heaviness of the Carry’s truck features. Additionally, its suspension system allows the vehicle to withstand either rough urban roads or off-road terrain (or both). Consequently, this has the capability to provide comfort to all its passengers even without modern or hi-tech features inside. 

The Suzuki Carry is powered by a 1,462-cc 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a Variable Valve Timing Technology that produces a maximum power output of 96 PS and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. It runs on 5-speed manual transmission and a two-wheel drive system that has a heavy duty rear differential. This car is engineered to be an effective daily vehicle, which can consistently cater to the needs of businesses and/or service providers in terms of logistics.

Unfortunately, another weakness of the Suzuki Carry is its noticeable lack of advanced safety features or driver assistance systems. It is equipped with a short list of safety features such as dual airbags, rope hooks, and locks. Its Utility and Cargo vans are also equipped with mudguards that block mud and water, allowing the driver to have worry-free cruising on off-road terrain. In terms of braking, it utilizes a ventilated disc at the front and a leading and trailing drum at the rear. 

Saying that the Suzuki Carry is a practical choice for a commercial vehicle might sound cliché, but we really do need to give Suzuki credit for providing us with a reliable vehicle that is lightweight enough to be maneuvered easily while having the robustness of a full-sized truck.
