CFMoto 250 NK Review
CFMoto 250 NK Overview
Positioned above the range starting 150 NK in the naked roadster lineup, the CF Moto 250 NK marked the entry of the Chinese two-wheeler maker in the more involving segment of quarter-litre motorcycles. The CF Moto 250 NK is being offered in the Philippines two-wheeler market in just one standard variant and with two color options of silver and black.
CFMoto 250 NK Design
Given how advanced the quarter-litre segment is becoming in terms of design, the CF Moto 250 NK has effortlessly managed to up the ante with its aggressive design language. The sharp stance and angular design of the motorcycle make it look agile and sporty, thus giving it a big bike appeal.
The front fascia of the CF Moto 250 NK consists of a vertically stacked LED headlamp, which is fragmented into two parts through a silver garnish in the middle of it, which also extends towards the sides of the headlamp. While the upper corners of the headlamp have mounts for the slim LED turn indicators, in the middle of the indicators and above the headlamp sits a vertically placed visor.
The side profile of the CF Moto 250 NK looks pretty aggressive too, with the pouncing forward stance of the motorcycle working in its favour a lot. The angular fuel tank with its sloping and sharp knee recesses enhances the sporty character of the motorcycle, while the Y-shaped fuel tank extensions positioned at the front bottom of the fuel tank makes it look even beefier.
The zig-zag theme for the side body panels, which are finished in contrast color, the underbody stubby exhaust pipe, the star-themed five-spoke alloy wheels and the mildly exposed trellis frame below it does make the CF Moto 250 NK look even sportier.
The rear of the motorcycle has been given a stubby look too, with a small tailpiece which accommodates the split pillion seat, angular LED tail lamp and LED turn indicators just adjacent to the tail lamp. The CF Moto 250 NK misses out on a proper rear fender, and instead, it gets a small rear tire hugger with number plate holder.
What really blows off one’s mind (in a pleasant way, off course), is the full TFT colored instrument console, which is easily the best in class. The rectangular unit has the options of multiple display modes, which offers to choose between different types of screens for digital readouts for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, odometer, trip meters, gear indicator, low battery indicator and ride mode selected.
CFMoto 250 NK Ride & Handling
The CF Moto 250 NK is designed around a modern chassis, with the motorcycle sitting on a strong trellis frame and getting a premium suspension setup of retractable upside-down telescopic forks at the front and cantilever type adjustable monoshock at the rear. The CF Moto 250 NK is the most affordable motorcycle in the market right now to get multiple ride modes, which allow the rider to choose the perfect riding setup according to the suitable riding condition and tarmac. The bike is equipped with disc brakes at both the ends and rides on 17-inch wheels.
CFMoto 250 NK Engine & Fuel Consumption
The CF Moto 250 NK sources its power from a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 249cc motor. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and makes 26.5 PS of maximum power output and 22 Nm of peak torque output.
CFMoto 250 NK Braking & Safety
The CF Moto 250 NK is decently equipped in the aspect of safety too, with the motorcycle getting three different ride modes to choose from, as well as a dual-channel ABS, which are operational on both the disc brakes at front and rear. Apart from that, it also gets nifty features like an engine kill switch.
CFMoto 250 NK Verdict
The CF Moto 250 NK makes up for a great quarter-litre motorcycle, to begin with, as it packs in some premium features like trellis frame, full TFT meters and LED lights all around. The balance of performance and riding dynamics too is pretty sorted for an entry-level sportbike.
