Ecooter E5

The Ecooter E5 features a smart, minimalist design that gives off a futuristic vibe. It looks clean and has a little bit of sportiness to it. At the front, it has a sleek rectangular headlight, which is adjustable. It has a nice two-toned silhouette accentuated by a blend of body-colored fairings and blacked-out finishes. Its futuristic personality is carried over to its back courtesy of a unique-looking hypermodern LED tail lamp. It also comes with an indicator light for more visibility on the road. 

Aside from these, it has hidden foot pegs which are easily accessible when needed. And, to enhance the pillion’s comfort and convenience, it comes with a built-in grab handle. Its saddle provides good cushioning for both the rider and pillion even on longer trips. The rider has a digital console with a customizable display. This displays all the necessary information that a rider needs when on the go such as the odometer, speedometer, battery status and consumption, as well as temperature readings among others. This also offers smartphone connectivity for navigation and driving history, as well as a tire pressure monitoring system for an added layer of safety.

In terms of practicality, it comes with a compartment and a decently-sized underseat storage. It also has a USB-A charging port inside the compartment for more convenience. 

In terms of dimensions, the Ecooter E5 measures 1,890 mm in length and 1,150 mm in height (800 mm in seat height). It runs on a pair of 17-inch wheels.

The Ecooter E5 utilizes hydraulic suspensions for both front and rear. Thanks to this suspension setup, you’ll enjoy this electric motorcycle’s easy and lightweight maneuverability even when passing through traffic and tight spaces in the city. It also absorbs bumps and road imperfections quite effectively. Additionally, it can hit turns or corners at high speeds pretty well courtesy of its impressive grip. That said, the E5 delivers a smooth, comfortable, and very pliant riding experience for both the rider and pillion even on longer trips.

The Ecooter E5 runs on an electric engine that generates a maximum power output of 10.7 hp and a maximum torque of 260 Nm. Its electric engine is powered by two 64V, 42Ah lithium-ion batteries that deliver a claimed maximum range of over 200 kms. It has a direct current (DC) charging time of 0% to 100% in seven hours. It comes mated to a single-speed automatic transmission gearbox and features four riding modes: City, Eco, Power, and Sport.

This electric motorcycle is surprisingly quick and has a smooth and fairly responsive power delivery. Thanks to its full-electric powertrain, it is very efficient even when riding spiritedly on sport mode and passing through bumper-to-bumper city traffic at low speeds. Hence, it is a practical and enjoyable daily ride in the city. However, given its limited range, it is important to meticulously plan ahead before using this for long-distance trips outside the city. Overall, this electric motorcycle is well-designed for your daily commute and weekend leisure trips with family and friends.

In terms of safety, the Ecooter E5 is equipped with cruise control, side reflectors, and a pass switch. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system. It also delivers a very responsive and grippy braking courtesy of its front and rear disc brakes.

Honestly, the Ecooter E5 is a bit inaccessible to many local consumers because of its hefty price (considering it has a scooter-like size). But, in my opinion, its price point is justified by how feature-packed this electric motorcycle is. And, on top of this, it is also equipped with a very well-tuned suspension system and electric powertrain designed for everyday commuting inside the city.
