Honda ADV160

The Honda ADV 160 borrows styling cues from bigger adventure bikes like the X-ADV and ADV 350. The ADV 160 features a muscular front apron and a centrally framed spine. These lend the scooter a balance of toughness and sophistication. The front-end gets a vertically-stacked, angular twin-LED headlight setup with matching daytime running lights (DRLs). The facia looks menacing and functional. A two-position, adjustable windscreen boosts wind protection. 

The Honda ADV 160 is available in a single version in the Philippines. The scooter runs on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels. The two-wheeler is available in white, black, and red colours. Minimum decals lend a modern, understated toughness. The scooter’s central spine and the elongated tail section lead to an upswept exhaust and compact rear fender. The Honda ADV 160 get a flat tail cowl and grab rails that project both durability and style.

The Honda ADV 160 gets a full colour TFT digital display unit that offers great visibility even under bright conditions. It displays indicators for antilock braking, traction control, smart key, coolant temperature, tachometer, fuel gauge, and trip meters. The scooter gets 30 litters of under-seat storage space. There's also a front compartment with a 12V USB port. The bike comes with an anti-theft function via the smart key.

Honda has designed the ADV 160’s seat with twin-texture materials. An elevated rear section improves passenger visibility and comfort. The riding position is relaxed. The wide ‘fat bar’ handlebars and a lowered setup feels responsive and accessible. The scooter’s reduced seat height compared to its predecessor lends average-height riders better control with feet flat on the ground.

The Honda ADV 160 is equipped with Showa telescopic front fork that absorbs bumps, dips, and uneven urban surfaces smoothly. The rear suspension setup is firm and functional. It feels a bit steep, particularly when riding solo. But the firmness lend better rear grip feedback and stability during cornering. The rear-end suspension noticeably softens when carrying a pillion. 

The Honda ADV 160 offers stable cornering. On tight turns, the maxi-scooter remains planted. Even during hard braking or taking lean angles, the scooter never loses its stability, courtesy the well-balanced chassis and weight distribution

The Honda ADV 160 is hauled by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 157cc engine that produces 16PS/15Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission. On city roads, the powertrain offers nimble handling, superb throttle response, and quick acceleration. Navigating through congested roads is no problem at all with the Honda ADV 160. On highways, the scooter retains stability and cruises comfortably at high speed. But strong headwind may affect top-end performance a bit. The refined engine manages to strike a balance between power and efficiency. The Honda ADV 160 is more suited for urban commuting.   

The Honda ADV 160 is equipped with a 256mm and 220mm disc brakes on the front and rear wheels respectively The scooter comes with single-channel antilock braking system (ABS) for added safety. The ADV 160’s performance is sharp and progressive. It gives riders confidence during sudden stops or when riding on slippery roads. The feel of the lever is smooth and ensures controlled deceleration without abruptness. While dual-channel ABS would have been ideal, the single-channel system still offers dependable performance.

At a starting price of ₱116,900, the Honda Click 160 is a bit expensive compared to some of its rivals. The scoter blends comfort, style, and practicality with adventure-ready capability. It’s a versatile two-wheeler for urban commuting and occasional highway trips. The responsive powertrain, ABS and spacious ergonomics elevate the daily commuting experience. The rugged design adds to the scooter’s personality.
