I use the Foton Etx primarily for hauling gravel and sand in Bulacan construction sites. The Weichai WD615 engine delivers around 336 hp of power with a strong low-end torque, making it a perfect beast for uneven terrains and soft soil. Its leaf-spring suspension system may not be the most comforting but it makes carrying up to 25 tons of load seamless without bottoming out. The 9-speed Fast Gear transmission system handles excellently while crawling traffic in EDSA and provincial backroads. What surprised me is the high ground clearance and reinforced chassis— helping me cross shallow floods. However, the cabin feels quite outdated with limited noise insulation.
