Originally launched here in the Philippines back in 2019, the Geely Coolray is one of the most contemporary offerings in the premium compact SUV/crossover category, which somehow masks its Chinese origins which are not as well established as its other rivals from Japan and the Western countries.
At the time of its launch, the Geely Coolray was launched in a total of three different variants –
All these three variants differ on the basis of the features they offer, but get a common turbocharged petrol-automatic powertrain. The engine here in question is a 1.5-litre three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which makes a maximum power output of 176 PS as well as a maximum torque output of 225 Nm. This power output makes the Geely Coolray the most powerful SUV/crossover in its category. The only gearbox option introduced at the time of its launch was the 7-speed dual clutch automatic.
The Geely Coolray has a finely laid out interior cabin, which is loaded to the gills with a host of comfort and convenience features. This list of modern features includes a full TFT instrument console, leather upholstery, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push button start with keyless entry, panoramic sunroof, three different riding modes (Normal, Eco and Sport). The Coolray is also equipped with a number of safety features as standard, such as six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control, semi-autonomous parallel and perpendicular parking.
