New and Used BMW Z4 for Sale Philippines 2017

BMW Z4 for sale Philippines | BMW Z4 price Philippines | Red & Blue BMW Z4

The Z4 roadster is one of the oldest nameplates in the BMW catalog. It certainly has aged well, as the vehicle has managed to remain relevant despite having minimal updates since 2012. The Z4 has enjoyed a reputation as being one of the best cars to drive with the top down—the sweet combination of a retractable hardtop roof, smooth drive, and compact size seems to have hit a stride with many roadster lovers. Its counterparts in comparison, range from the nimble but cramped varieties to those with big engines and even bigger price tags, making the BMW Z4 all the more desirable.

The BMW Z4 welcomes the 2016 model year relatively unchanged, except for the addition of formerly optional sport seats to roadster’s list of standard equipment.

BMW Z4 Review in the Philippines

BMW Z4 Specs and Performance

The latest Z4 uses the same engines and transmissions that the vehicle has been equipped with since 2009, which includes three 2.0 four-cylinder units and two 3.0-liter six-cylinder options for the engine, and a 6-speed manual and 6-, 7-, and 8-speed automatic choices for the gearbox. The base z4 sDrive28i gets the 2.0-liter 240 hp powertrain, while the upscale Z4 sDrive35is receives the more powerful turbocharged inline-6 with 335 hp. BMW sDrive28i models are equipped with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic, while the sDrive35i and sDrive35is house only the 7-speed automatic.

For a car with sporty design, the smooth ride of the BMW Z4 is quite the surprise, just make sure you go with the Standard sDrive suspension and not the M Sport type. Though the latter’s firmer suspension may provide better handling, the ride is uncomfortably stiff.

BMW Z4 Fuel Consumption

In comparison to its competitors such as the Porsche Boxster, fuel consumption rates on the BMW Z4 aren’t particularly impressive, but that doesn’t mean they’re dismal, either. Though the Z4 isn’t going to win any fuel economy awards, the scores are quite decent:

New BMW Z4 fuel consumption:

  • BMW Z4 2016: 23.5 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2015: 23.4 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2014: 25.2 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2013: 23.5 MPG average rating

Second hand BMW Z4 fuel consumption:

  • BMW Z4 2012: 21.2 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2011: 21.7 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2010: 21.8 MPG average rating
  • BMW Z4 2009: 22.3 MPG average rating

BMW Z4 Features

BMW Z4 Convenience and Entertainment Features

It’s practically a given that the BMW Z4 is one well-appointed car, given the BMW’s reputation for sophistication. Features and equipment are topnotch in general, most notably the BMW Online Portal which provides drivers with real-time traffic information, BMW apps, and even smartphone aids that can scan social media posts and read them aloud. Below are just a few of the BMW Z4 car’s updated trimmings.

  • BMW ConnectedDrive Telematics Services
  • Navigation system
  • On-board computer
  • AM/FM/6-CD/MP3 audio system
  • Hi-Fi loudspeaker system
  • TV function
  • Wind deflector

BMW Z4 Safety Features

BMW vehicles are rarely crash-tested, owing to the brand’s penchant for high-end luxury. That said, it’s worth noting that BMW is known for solid chassis engineering and comprehensive safety equipment packages. Combine that with the Z4 inherent obstacle-avoiding properties and you get one highly protective roadster.

  • Driver, front passenger, and side airbags
  • Inner ventilated front and rear disc brakes
  • Integrated side impact protection
  • Crash sensor
  • Dynamic Stability Control
  • Safety bodyshell

BMW Z4 Design

BMW Z4 Interior

The Z4’s retractable hardtop roof provides the vehicle with ultra-comfortable levels of quietness and protection from the elements, stowing away quickly and neatly whenever you want it to. Sporty seats are now standard on the base model. One gripe however, is that faux leather remains to be the base upholstery. Standard interior features in the Z4 include:

  • Automatic air conditioning
  • Leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles
  • Heated/adjustable driver and front passenger seats
  • Storage package
  • Leather gear lever knob
  • Electric windows with trap release

BMW Z4 Exterior

The BMW Z4 is a roadster through and through, and for sure, it’s a magnificent-looking one. Smooth swells, converging arcs, a low lengthy hood, and raised character lines impart the Z4 with a classic yet modern feel. A significant engineering achievement, considering it’s been over five years since its last major refresh. Equal parts conservative and sporty, the Z4 design exudes a fine balance rarely found in the luxury roadster class. Here are six of the exterior’s prominent features:

  • Adaptive headlights
  • Air inlet grille in front spoiler
  • Auxiliary LED indicators in front side panel
  • Retractable hardtop with contrasting paoint finish
  • Heated electric side mirrors
  • Twin exhaust tailpipes

BMW Z4 Color Options

BMW offers the Z4 in eleven total exterior color options—two non-metallic, and nine metallic. The metallic options come at an additional price. Here are six of those options:

  • Alpine White Non-Metallic
  • Titanium Silver Metallic
  • Orion Silver Metallic
  • Melbourne Red Metallic
  • Space Grey Metallic
  • Black Sapphire Metallic
