2017 Manila Auto Salon: The Cars and Stuff

The 2017 Manila Auto Salon opened its doors at the SMX Convention Center in the SM Mall of Asia complex yesterday, November 30, and being held concurrently with it is the Sport Truck Show, which is why you'll mostly find SUV and pickup trucks in the gallery below. If you can, drop by the show and check out some of the exotic builds on the floor, like the two monster trucks at one corner of the show floor, supposedly the first of their kind in the Philippines to be locally built, and our personal favorite: the Nissan Fairlady Z (or Nissan 240Z, in some market) that's been fitted with an RB26DETT straight-six engine from a Nissan Skyline GT-R. 

Beyond the cars, some exhibitors are selling their wares at discounted prices of up to 50 percent off, so if you got your government-mandated 13th month bonus already, you might want to check out the products on sale, from toys to car parts to heavy-duty equipment. Check out the gallery at the bottom for some of the stuff you'll see at the show.

The 2017 Manila Auto Salon is ongoing until December 3, with regular ticket prices at P150 while senior citizens get in at a discounted price of P120 and children at three feet in height and below get in for free.
