4 Reasons Why the 2018 Suzuki Swift Could be Your First Brand-New Car

Buying a brand-new car is a huge investment, which is why you need to consider all the options before you make your final decision. Among the cars available in the Philippine market is the all-new 2018 Suzuki Swift. It is a subcompact hatchback and one of the ideal choices when you're looking for a brand-new car that could swiftly tackle the urban jungle. Diminutive dimensions

Being a subcompact hatch, the Suzuki Swift comes with diminutive dimensions, which is an advantage when driving in the urban jungle. The first advantage that comes to mind is that it can drive through tight city streets easily. Second, parking would not be much of a problem as you can steer and maneuver the vehicle with less effort. In case you're wondering, the 2018 Swift measures 3,840mm long, 1,735mm wide, and 1,495mm tall along with a wheelbase of 2,450mm.

Composed exterior design

The all-new Swift's exterior has a youthful vibe and it looks more composed as compared to its predecessor. The Swift gets a wide honeycomb grille, LED headlights, and a bold bumper. In side profile, this subcompact hatch has straight character lines and blacked-out pillars. The youthful exterior design of the Swift continues to be seen at the rear with the distinctive LED taillights and spoiler. Adding to the the vehicle's youthful and sporty look is a set of 16-inch alloy wheels (available in the top-variant 2018 Swift).

Enough cargo space

Suzuki Philippines says the all-new 2018 Swift has a cargo space of 265 liters, which is 54 liters more than the outgoing model. This is enough cargo space for up to three gym bags, two mid-sized luggage bags, among others. It can also accommodate up to five occupants--the rear can fit three average sized Filipino adults.

Equipped with safety features

The 2018 Swift is not short when it comes to safety features. It is equipped with dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and side impact door beams. As mentioned earlier, the Swift is easy to park due to its diminutive dimensions. In addition to that, this subcompact hatch comes with a reverse camera and sensors to assist you further when you need to park. The 2018 Swift also has a light, impact-absorbing body construction, which is said to efficiently absorb and disperse the energy in the event of a collision. The 2018 Suzuki Swift comes in three variants with a starting price of PHP755,000 while the top variant is priced at PHP899,000. It is powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that delivers 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The base variant is connected to a five-speed manual while the mid- and top-variant comes with a continuously variable transmission.
