Suzuki has begun retailing a V-Strom 1050XT-inspired edition of the popular Arai Tour-X4 helmet, and is letting everyone know of the helmet’s availability at all authorized Suzuki dealerships.

The ATour-X4, part of the Tour-X Series of helmets, is a heavy favorite among those who ride adventure style bikes and often (if not sporadically) take their two-wheelers off-roading.

The helmet has a removable peak for those who prefer moto-x style headgear or want to reduce wind buffeting on a cruise. The visor is removable as well.

This high flexibility is what has endeared this particular helmet among different types of bike enthusiasts.

The Arai Tour-X4 V-Strom special edition helmet comes in the same orange and white color combination as Suzuki’s new range-topping V-Strom line, complete with matching decals.

The headgear also comes with long list of features, including a front ventilation from dual intakes, three-position chin vent, brow vents, side exhausts, and double D-ring strap.

It even has rear ventilation courtesy of a neck exhaust vent, as well as a removable diffuser.

The inside is lined with Dry-Cool fabric with replaceable ear cups, cheek pads, and chin strap covers in case these items get overly worn or smelly.

Granted, removing the visor isn’t as easy as some of its contemporaries in the market—you’ll need to have a flat screw handy if you do this frequently. Fortunately, there’s an emergency release system for when you have to remove your helmet in a jiffy.

“Dubbed one of the most versatile adventure helmets on the market, the Tour-X4 can be used in any combination of peak or no peak, and with either the visor or goggles, making it adept on or off-road,” Suzuki described.

Ideal for adventure, handmade with all day comfort, the Arai Tour-X4 V-Strom Edition helmet is currently available in the UK for GBP649 (approx. PHP 40,536).

Suzuki’s top-of-the-line V-Strom 1050XT have attracted many riders who want the utmost motorcycles for touring, commuting, or cruising down the highway. The V-Strom lineup in particular, comprise touchstone motorcycles balanced with a natural riding position, comfortable seat, and a flexible engine character, delivering stress-free rides whether on a brief daily use or a high-mile adventure.

Though we don’t have the 1050XT locally, we do have its lower-displacement brethren, the V-Strom 1000XT, which sells at a starting price of PHP759,000.
