Auto Expo 2020: Meet MG E200, Futuristic 2-seater EV Traffic Crawler

If you want a four-wheel vehicle that can take you from point A to point B efficiently without any fuss, then the E200 is a commuting compact vehicle that can get the job done. And by compact, we mean really small. How small you ask? 2,497 mm long, 1,526 mm wide, and 1,616 mm tall. That’s just enough to fit two passengers comfortably which makes it a good car for commuting to work. Unveiled during the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo, this cute as a button pink EV from MG Motor cannot be missed despite its size. The boxy exterior with wide windshield and windows albeit a streamlined design carries a futuristic vibe to it. Inside the cabin, the no-nonsense design continues with its minimalistic dashboard, multi-function steering wheel, and a tiny instrument cluster that’s almost the size of a smartphone. Despite the small size, MG did not skimp on safety. The car frame is made from 42.9 percent high-strength steel and has a caged battery pack for better safety. Basic active and passive safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electric Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). The MG E200 is powered by a 24-kWh battery pack and comes with an electric motor capable of delivering a decent 29kW output and 110 Nm of torque. This 2-seater EV has a driving range of 210 km in a single full charge and has a top speed of about 100 kmph. What’s great about this EV is that it doesn’t need a special wall-mounted fast charger. The usual 220V outlet will do. What is more, the battery pack comes with an 8-year or 120,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. Will you be willing to give the MG E200 a shot?
