You’re not really traveling if you're not traveling in style, and it is with this notion that Foton released the Toano Llimousine van, which immediately become one of its most buzz-worthy offerings in the passenger vehicle line. Designed by the same team behind the Mercedez-Benz Sprinter, the 2018 Foton Toano Limousine combines spacious and stylish interiors with a powerful Cummins turbo diesel engine to deliver a ride that is every bit as luxurious as advertised.
The Toano van is powered by Foton Blue Energy, owing to its impressive performance via a 2.8-liter Cummins diesel powerplant that delivers 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque. The Euro 4-compliant engine, the same one found in the brand's Toplander SUV and Thunder pickup truck, is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. At nearly six feet in interior height from the floor to the ceiling, the Toano is easily one of the tallest in its class. How's that for roominess?
The Toano doesn't look much in the exterior department, but the no-frills sheetmetal design is intentional, given the background of its creators. As for other notable outer features, there's the automatic electric foot board, reverse sensors and cameras, LED side mirror lights, and split vertical rear door that locks open for hassle-free loading.
The Toano Limousine interior is where things start get really interesting. Kick-starting off the ceremonies, you have the blue LED pin lights that surround the nautically-themed interiors, providing excellent mood lighting for each and every passenger. Unlike the standard 15-seater Toano, the Toano Limousine seats 10 which makes the interior even spacious. It has three seats in front (including the driver's), two captain chairs each for both second and third rows, and three bench-type seats at the for the back row. All of the seats are covered in high-class leather upholstery. The seats themselves can be reclined, having electrical fine-tuning features that can be adjusted according to the personal requirements of height, back and seat angle not only of the passengers, but also of the driver.
The Toano Limousine enjoys a long list of high-tech safety and security gears including head lamp levelers, adjustable meter gauge backlight illumination, powered side mirrors with LED signal lights, remote control power windows, front and rear fog lamps, dual front airbags, brake lamps, and an Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.
