MANILA: Mobility Access Philippines Ventures, Incorporated (MAPVI), the local distributor of BYD mass-market vehicles, has joined the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors (AVID).

Following this, the group founded in 2010 now has nine members representing a total of 16 automotive brands.

“The challenge before us is clear: disruption must be given direction. Artificial intelligence must be harnessed as a national opportunity. Electrification must be seized as a Philippine advantage. Competitiveness can no longer be pursued by individual organizations alone—it requires collective action,” Agudo explained.
