While the company has yet to provide details about the two models under Mini, here are some bits of information about the forthcoming products as seen abroad.
The all-electric Mini Cooper is 3,858 millimeters (mm) long; 1,756 mm wide; and 1,460 mm tall that has a 2,526-mm wheelbase and as much as 800-liter luggage capacity. Meanwhile, the electrified Countryman measures 4,445 mm long; 1,844 mm wide; and 1,641 mm tall with a 1,590-liter cargo capability.
Propelling the three-door offering is an electric motor in front-wheel-drive set-up while the five-door model is under dual electric mills.
The former can provide 184-218 horsepower and 330 Newton-meters (Nm), depending on the variant and the latter, as much as 312 hp and 418 Nm.
The all-electric Mini Cooper can run 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 7.3-6.8 seconds and reach a 17-kph top speed. On the other hand, the electrified Countryman can cover 100 kph from standstill in around six seconds and gallop up to 180 kph.
Giving juice to the electric powertrains are the 64.7 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery for the all-electric Mini Countryman and the 36.6-49.2 kWh for the Cooper.
The distinct hatchback appearance is still present on both models.
As seen in the photos, the all-electric Mini Cooper maintains the rounded headlamps and the distinct octagonal front grille, and the Countryman wears a boxier look with its hexagonal front lighting.
For the rear, the all-electric Mini Countryman is outfitted with adjustable rectangular taillamps and the Cooper a triangular illumination.
Dishing out that recognizable go-kart feel is the classic-contemporary steering wheel that is seen on the two models. In addition, the electrified Mini Countryman and Cooper are tailored with OLED displays.
