Chevrolet PH retains 5 models, makes way for 'refreshed' lineup

Chevrolet Philippines is aggressive in making room for what it called its "refreshed" portfolio this year.

Upon checking the company website, the local distributor for the bowtie brand only displayed the Spark, Tracker, Suburban, and its halo cars such as the Camaro and Corvette.

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) recently launched the China-made Chevrolet Tracker locally.

In an interview, TCCCI Executive Vice President and Director for Marketing and Customer Services Lyn Manalansang-Buena said that the models recently removed from the main page will soon be replaced by a revamped lineup.

“The Trailblazer, Colorado, and Trax are part of our existing product portfolio, and are present in our ‘Other Chevrolet Models’ page and shopclickdrive.com.ph online shopping platform. These models are also available in Chevrolet dealerships nationwide,” the TCCCI executive told Carmudi Philippines.

“These will however, be replaced in due time by a new and refreshed lineup of global Chevrolet models, which was headlined by the launch of the all-new Chevrolet Tracker,” she added.

The shopclickdrive platform, as TCCCI Marketing Manager Jona Loren Atienza mentioned, was launched earlier this year. “It’s our e-commerce platform where our customers can conveniently shop for a new Chevy online,” she explained.

Atienza explained that the move to remove the models in the main page as early as now is to highlight those that will belong to the revitalized portfolio

“Our goal there is to showcase and put front and center the refreshed portfolio of the Chevy brand in the PH market,” she said in a separate interview.

Earlier, TCCCI revealed that Chevrolet and Morris Garages (MG)  are eyeing to introduce a pair of models each this second half of 2021. Based on a tip Carmudi received earlier, Chevrolet is keen on bringing in the Tahoe, Suburban and another halo model.
