Continental Tires brings UltraContact UX7 to PH

MANILA: Continental Tires Philippines has launched the UltraContact UX7.

Per the local wing of the German-born tire manufacturer, the Continental UltraContact UX7 is a sport utility vehicle-specific model that balances performance for everyday driving and adventure-seeking moments.

Key to its capabilities are three innovative technologies, which we have listed below:

X-force tread pattern

Continental Tires Philippines explained that the X-force tread pattern maximizes the contact area with the road surface, creating a wider contact with the ground that effectively distributes the force to the rest of the tire to improve handling and stability.

This is helpful, especially when turning, as the outer shoulder of the tire bears the most stress and pressure.

Robust360 technology

The Continental UltraContact UX7 is built with the Robust360 technology, which boasts a reinforced tire structure that the company claims to be more durable, thanks to a reinforced tread steel wire layer.

It results in a stronger tire design to ensure performance and durability in a variety of road conditions.

Adaptive diamond compound

The adaptive diamond compound in the Continental UltraContact UX7 is said to help with improved tread wear resistance through effective heat transferring, which the tire maker said helps with braking distance.

Some observations

Carmudi Philippines was able to test the performance of the Continental UltraContact UX7 via a short course set up by the tire company.

Equipped on a Honda HR-V, the tire brand’s latest offering proved to have decent grip in varying conditions. It was also quiet in parts of the course where the surface was leveled.

“The Continental UltraContact UX7 shows no compromise in delivering a quiet and smooth ride while being able to perform in the toughest maneuvers. When put to the test at the Continental UltraContact UX7 Launch, the tires performed above and beyond, even with the repeated tests that ranged from sudden maneuvers, slaloms, and even the demanding figure '8' test,” the tire manufacturer wrote in a press release.

The Continental UltraContact UX7 is now available at JMFI authorized dealers and online selling platforms.
