DPWH improves Tablang-Gabaldon Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that it has completed improvement works along various sections of the Tablang-Gabaldon Road Junction (Jct.) in Laur, Nueva Ecija.

Implemented to further ensure safer travel to motorists plying the abovementioned thoroughfare, DPWH Regional Director Roseller Tolentino (in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo) said that DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO) reported that the off-carriageway improvement project cost P21.94 million.

The said road improvement project involved the construction of a 230-millimeter thick concrete road shoulder along intermittent sections of Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road.

Per Tolentino, improving road conditions along the secondary road was an important project of the DPWH Nueva Ecija DEO as it provides connection from the capital city of Palayan and the towns of Laur and Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija.

Through the newly-widened sections, road condition and carrying capacity along the Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road has been upgraded providing more convenient travel for both motorists and pedestrians while also contributing to the greater socio-economic improvement of the town of Laur by allowing efficient transportation of goods and services.
