Drive Like a U.S. Military Trooper by Actually Owning These Vehicles

Did you know that you can now own military vehicles used by the U.S. government? In fact, there are even online auctions like this one that allow you to buy military vehicles even if you're in the Philippines. The good thing about this is that you can bid for as low as USD5 to get started--such as this one:

You can even go to Ebay and find some dirt-cheap military vehicles that cost for a cheap PHP183,000. If you don't believe us, then we'll give you some good deals just to make it easy for you.

Light Military Off-Road: Willys Jeep

@ebay.com

Price: USD4,850.00 (PHP255,000)

One of the most iconic light off-roader is the Willys Jeep, which was developed for the US military in time for World War II. It's considered the American soldier's best friend--only second to his most trusted rifle. Interestingly, there was even one Willys that was awarded a Purple Heart when it was sent home.

General George C. Marshall, US Army Chief of Staff during World War II described this vehicle as "America's greatest contribution to modern warfare".

Multi-purpose Vehicle: The Humvee

@www.govplanet.com

Starting Bid: USD4,800 (PHP252,000)

Humvee, or High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled-Vehicle (HMMWV), are four-wheel drive military trucks manufactured by AM General.

These vehicles were mostly used by the United States military, and was the most commonly used transport during the Gulf War of 1991. Built in 1985, soldiers used to call them "jeeps on steroids", and became popular among the masses, with Arnold Schwarzenegger being one of the first Hollywood celebrities to own one.

Lift Dollies

@www.govplanet.com

Starting Bid: USD125 (PHP6,600)

They look like vehicles from a post-apocalyptic Terminator film, but really, they're that's how they're really made. These dolly lifts are created to turn semitrailers into full trailers, to create containers and transportable shelters that can be towed at both ends for the military.

Rescue Vehicles

@ebay.com

Price: USD20,000 (PHP1.1 million)

Rescue vehicles are non-armored vehicles, that the U.S. armed forces use not primarily for defense, but for other military purposes, such as rescue missions. And while they offer some form of ballistic protection, they don't have the necessary high-powered weapons to use for extreme, all-out defense.

Medium Tactical Vehicles

@www.govplanet.com

Starting Bid: USD4,200 (PHP221,000)

Medium Tactical Vehicles are designed as a 6x6 truck that offer a 5-ton payload and powered by a Cat 3116 turbo diesel engine. They often have CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) that allows the driver to feed information regarding the terrain that they are currently traveling over. Once this is fed into the system, then it can automatically fluctuate the tire air pressure to allow the vehicle maximum and effective traction on the road.
