Fuso PH delivers Canter Commute fleet to Pangasinan-based transport group

Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) has recently delivered a fleet of Canter Commute (Class 2) units to a transport group in Pangasinan.

In a statement, the local distributor of Fuso trucks, buses, and modern public utility vehicles (PUV) said that the Extreme Dagupan Pangasinan Transport Corporation (EDPTC) received the newly-purchased units last August 8. The vehicles will immediately be deployed along Dagupan City and San Carlo City routes.

Facilitating the acquisition of the Canter Commute modern PUV examples is SFP’s dealer partner HMEN Motors, with its Fuso dealership in Pangasinan.

To note, SFP and Almazora Motors Corporation collaboratively designed the Canter Commute — an air-conditioned Class 2 PUV with the capacity to fit 20 people in side-facing seats while still accommodating 10 more standing passengers.

Powering the Fuso Canter Commute Class 2 vehicles are 3.0-liter Euro V-compliant diesel engines that, per SFP, deliver excellent fuel economy and greater efficiency.

In addition, the vehicles handed over were built to meet the requirements set by the Philippine National Standards. The modern PUV units delivered are also equipped with accessories as required by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, such as closed-circuit television cameras, Wi-Fi, global positioning system tracking system, LED route signage, and LCD monitor for the safety and convenience of passengers.
