GAC joins CAMPI to restrengthen ties with PH auto industry

MANILA: GAC International Philippines has officially joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), marking another step in strengthening its presence in the local automotive industry.

In a statement, the company said its CAMPI membership reinforces collaboration with key industry stakeholders while supporting the development of policies, programs, and standards aimed at advancing the Philippine automotive sector. 

"Joining CAMPI is a significant honor and a pivotal chapter for our operations. We are eager to leverage this partnership to accelerate our growth in the Philippine market. As we continue re-consolidating our presence in the country, this membership underscores our deep-rooted commitment to providing Filipinos with world-class engineering and a comprehensive, future-ready automotive experience," GAC International Senior Vice President Steven Wang said.

One GAC strategy

The milestone follows GAC Philippines' transition earlier this year into a wholly owned local subsidiary of GAC International. Guided by the "One GAC" strategy, the restructuring brings GAC Motor, Aion, and Hyptec under a single organization, streamlining operations to deliver consistent sales, service, and customer experience while enhancing aftersales support and dealer network coordination.

GAC Philippines said it continues to strengthen its "zero-anxiety" ownership experience through its nationwide network of 30 dealerships, a dedicated parts warehouse, and comprehensive aftersales services. 

The company also offers warranties of up to five years or 150,000 kilometers for internal combustion engine models. Its electrified vehicles are backed by an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty covering the core three-electric system. New vehicle owners likewise receive two years of complimentary roadside assistance.

The development comes as CAMPI and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) reported combined vehicle sales of 167,324 units in the first half of 2026, down 12.1 percent from the 190,429 units sold during the same period in 2025.
