GAC PH expands lineup with Aion UT introduction

MANILA:  GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Company) International Philippines has formally launched the all-new Aion UT for the local market.

The full-electric compact hatchback, which was previously seen at the 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, has made its way to the country after gaining popularity abroad—specifically in countries like Thailand, Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

Said to offer “Big Car Energy: to its eco-conscious vehicle buyers, this five-seater offering provides runway-ready “Milanese styling,” advanced technology, and practical daily utility.

Here is what the all-new GAC Aion UT offers to the market.

Vehicle specifications

Offered in a single trim, the GAC Aion UT is powered by an electric motor that can dish out:

The mill gets its power from the brand’s 47.1-kilowatt-hour lithium-iron phosphate Magazine battery. This energy bank can be juiced up in around 30 minutes from 30 percent to 80 percent using a direct current charger.

However, its key feature is its “man-maximum, machine-minimum” design that prioritizes comfort.

On paper, the all-new GAC Aion UT measures:

As seen in the table, the vehicle has a class-leading wheelbase that translates to generous passenger space—specifically at legroom at the rear (905 mm).

Outside, the all-new GAC Aion UT sports a sleek "Milanese aesthetics" design philosophy complemented by wink-eye headlights and rounded headlights for the rear as well as 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/60 R16 tires. Its body color options include:

• Champs-Elysees Beige
• Emerald Green
• Rococo White
• Seine Silver
• Rococo White/Emerald Green (two-tone)

Its cabin is fitted with a small 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver side and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment at the middle (with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity) mated to a six-speaker setup.

Available for reservations, the all-new GAC Aion UT (in sole Elite trim) can be had at any GAC dealership nationwide for P1.068 million.

To make it more accessible to buyers, the brand’s local arm temporarily shaved off P50,000 until June 30 and an additional P20,000-discount will be accorded to the first 400 clients. This brings the introductory price to P998,000.

Further, GAC Philippines assures “zero-anxiety” ownership experience through its growing nationwide network of 30 dealerships, a dedicated Manila parts warehouse, and comprehensive aftersales support.

The distributor said that its internal combustion engine-power vehicles are covered with five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty. Meanwhile, its EV line is packaged with an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty, as well as an eight-year or 200,000 km warranty for the core three-electric system.

Moreover, all new owners also receive two years of free roadside assistance.
