Geely Group attains 3-M global sales in 2025

MANILA: Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) has finally hit the three-million sales milestone in 2025.

In a statement, the conglomerate’s collective sales for the full 12 months of the previous year had a total churn of 4,116,321 units — experiencing a 26-percent growth in its overall retail performance. The said volume came from Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Farizon, and Proton.

Of the aforementioned total output, 2,293,099 vehicles are electrified — which cornered 56-percent of the group’s aggregate sales and displayed a 58-percent year-over-year increase .

For the January-December 2025 timeline, Geely Auto sold 3,024,567 vehicles to their respective clients around the world. The said numbers reflected a 39-percent year on year, setting the firm’s newest record.

The growth was attributed to the company’s rising electrified vehicle sales as in the new energy category (which covers battery electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid electric vehicles), the company delivered 1,687,767 units to buyers globally — nearly doubled the segment’s performance in 2024.

Spearheading the strong figures were the nameplates under the Geely Galaxy line, whose sales reached 1.23 million.

Further, Geely Auto’s global expansion received a major boost last year that made the brand present in new mature markets namely Europe, South America, and Australia, With this, its exports rose to 420,097 units, with electrified vehicles exceeding 120,000 examples.

Meanwhile, Lynk & Co rolled out 350,495 vehicles worldwide last year, which is 23-percent more compared to 2024.

Additionally, Zeeker enjoyed a 224,133-unit retail performance in the previous year while Proton Cars, 162,601 units.

Sales of Volvo Cars in 2025 was at 710,042 (323,294 of which are electrified products), while Polestar had more than 60,000 vehicles sold around the world — experiencing a 30-percent growth.

Moreover, Farizon continued to lead new energy light-duty truck sales in China for the fourth consecutive year — with sales for January-December 2025 timeline reaching 162,019. The sub brand also set a new milestone after its cumulative sales for new energy commercial vehicles breached the 500,000 since it made its inception there.

Additionally, ZGH noted that the Eletre (Lotus Cars’ first electric sport utility vehicle) saw a 30 percent rise in China.

2026 outlook

As it celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, ZGH vowed to fast track the integration of internal resources, deepen group-wide synergies, strengthen global brands, redouble efforts in technological innovation, and expand globally.

“Technology innovation will focus on core areas in new energy technologies, vehicle safety, intelligent connectivity, and full-domain AI. Geely Holding continues to expand its three-dimensional land, air, and space mobility ecosystem to create intelligent mobility experiences that exceed global user expectations,” the firm mentioned in a statement.
