Genesis Unveils All-New G80

Although not as competitive as the SUV market, the midsize sedan market’s entries are also fierce rivals. With goliaths like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes CLS Class, it can be pretty tough for a carmaker to bring a new entry into the table. But Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand, isn’t going down without a fight. “A relationship begins at first sight. The distinctive “two lines” signature of the Quadlamps presents a clear and unique Genesis identity within seconds,” said Sang Yup Lee, Senior Vice President, Head of Genesis Design. “No matter what body type, sedan or SUV, the Quadlamps and Athletic Elegance design language present a distinctive brand identity, and this will enable Genesis to offer a fresh alternative within the existing luxury space.” The Genesis G80 is all about class. The sophisticated lines and curves of the vehicle draws focus to the massive grille and Genesis emblem, framed by the sleek LED headlamps. the side and rear profile of the vehicle is just as stunning. A coupe-like roof line is framed by rear LED light strips, along with the Genesis brand. Getting inside the G80’s cabin, you will be greeted with elegance and luxury. Black and wood trims, finished with silver accents on the dashboard and steering wheel, the interior is opulent enough to rival even Mercedes Benz. There is a massive 14.5 inch infotainment screen, and a long unbroken line of silver that hides the climate vents. "Inside, the Beauty of White Space’ theme represents our journey to achieve the perfect balance between personal space and state-of-the-art technology.” said Sang Yup Lee. "We question the status quo. Technology should not dominate and only present itself when necessary. This is the new luxury experience our Genesis customers expect in today’s high-end user experience.” More information on the G80 will be released along with its official debut this month.
