MANILA: GWM Philippines has finally introduced its contender in the highly-contested midsize sport utility vehicle category, the Haval H9.
Set to compete against heavyweights that come in the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Isuzu mu-X, and Ford Everest — the aforementioned model was already teased in numerous occasions since last year — starting the Manila International Auto Show 2025.

Outside, this vehicle features a retro boxy design with horizontal grille (in gunmetal gray color) that carries the Haval logo, rounded LED headlamps in squared housings, distinct tail lamps with third brake lamp, step boards, a front skid plate, roof rails, and a set of 19-inch wheels wrapped in 265/55 tires.

Ensuring the vehicle’s drivability are the ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels and its suspension system made up of a double wishbone set-up at the fore and a multi-link, non-independent suspension for the rear.

Available in Stealth Grey, Iceberg White, and Midnight Black, the GWM Haval H9 carries a price tag of P1,998,888. The said amount includes a seven-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty.
