Hyundai global sales up by 7.8% in May
Hyundai revealed that the company’s global vehicle sales went up by 7.8 percent in May, year-on-year.

According to Hyundai, it delivered 68,680 cars in Korea last month.According to the South Korean carmaker, it sold 349,194 vehicles globally last month. When broken down, it shows that Hyundai delivered 68,680 cars in Korea while it sold 280,514 units overseas.
For comparison's sake, Hyundai sold only 323,833 units in May 2022. Then, Hyundai sold 63,373 cars in Korea and 260,460 automobiles overseas.
Hyundai pointed out that the company maintained a steady growth in its global sales despite the continuing uncertainties in the business environment.
“The gradual recovery from the global parts shortage and production stabilization have helped the company secure solid performance in North America, Europe and India,” Hyundai wrote in a press release.
Additionally, Hyundai noted that the spike in sales for the Month of May is also due to the introduction of new models, including the all-new Grandeur (badged as Azera outside of Korea), and strong demand for sport utility models.
Further, Hyundai’s move to maintain its electric vehicle sales momentum by launching various all-electric models in the past few months have helped boost the brand’s image.
Also, Hyundai has been relentless in its efforts at building partnerships with other big names in their respective industries. To recall, Hyundai recently partnered with Sony Pictures for the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie.
