Hyundai is Working on a New Tech for Better Road Safety
Hyundai wants to make its cars smarter and safer by developing a new connectivity technology. To do this, the Korean automaker announced its partnership with Autotalks, a tech company known for manufacturing Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication chipsets.
V2X is a technology that allows cars to communicate with one another. Yes, it's a bit science fiction, but this trend is not that new in some countries. The said tech also allows vehicles to communicate with other motorists and road infrastructure, which results into safer mobility.
It's easy to understand that V2X is a technology designed to improve road safety. As such, V2X helps reduce road collisions and prevent dangerous situations. Autotalks shared that V2X feeds essential information to the driver in the form of alerts and notifications. It can also help self-driving cars through sensors, which allows these type of vehicles to make more informed decisions.
Overall, V2X gives cars the ability to communicate with one another via sensors that are transmitted through signals. It's a tech that intends to promote road safety by eliminating the guessing game between two drivers when, for example, crossing an intersection.
