Motorists battered by fuel price surges, flooded thoroughfares

MANILA: Amid the continuing inclement weather that country is experiencing, fuel companies shall jack up the prices of fuel, marking the second increase for the month.

According to companies like Unioil, Seaoil, Petron, and Cleanfuel, the price of gasoline will increase by P0.40 per liter while the cost of diesel will jump by P1.10 per liter.  

On the other hand, fuel brands that cater to kerosene-buying consumers will jack up the price of the said item by P0.70 per liter. 

The adjustments shall take effect tomorrow, July 22. 

Last week’s movement

Last week, the prices at the pump saw their first increase after consecutive cuts. Here are last week’s movements:

Gasoline	P0.70 (increase)
Kerosene	P0.80 (increase)

Relatedly, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has suspended the number coding scheme tomorrow.
