Hyundai Motor PH hails Commonwealth Avenue facility as newest DOYA recipient

Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has bestowed its first-ever Dealer of the Year Award (DOYA) to its Commonwealth Avenue sales facility.

In a recently-issued statement, the Korean automotive manufacturer’s local arm said that it handed over the accolade to the executives of ESJAY Auto Group (EAG) during a week-long multi-brand car expo in July 2023 held at SM Fairview in Quezon City.

HMPH President Dong Wook Lee and Managing Director Cecil Capacete made the surprise announcement back then and congratulated EAG executives Amando San Juan (chairman), Carmen San Jan (treasurer), and Atty. Anna Lynne San Juan-Ponferrada (president of Commonwealth Operations).

To note, Hyundai Commonwealth Avenue has been the brand’s strong partner in the country since it was established in 2004. For nearly two decades, the said dealership has received numerous honors in various disciplines — ranging from sales to service.

The said facility also made history by being among the first to adopt Hyundai’s Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) in 2015. The trademark elements applied to the facility ushered the new customer-centric approach of Hyundai towards the car buying process in a showroom.

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition which is extra special because it is our first Dealer of the Year award from Hyundai Motor Philippines. We thank HMPH for recognizing our loyalty and commitment to the Hyundai brand. We value the support and opportunity to be working with a global brand whose main thrusts of innovation and sustainability, strongly speak to us,” Ponferrada said upon receiving the recognition.

The annual award reinforces the brand’s commitment to uphold exceptional customer experience through the promotion of exemplary performance across all aspects of operations. All in the spirit of friendly competition, it is aimed at cultivating a network that carries out above-par standards that can be trusted by Filipino customers.

Meanwhile, evaluations for the newest award winners are already underway and are set to be announced within the first quarter of 2024.
