Makati-BGC Skytrain Gets Go Signal

Walang forever. Yes, the daily bumper-to-bumper traffic and nagging commute going to and from Bonifacio Global City (BGC) would soon be a history. This is due to the soon to rise Makati-BGC Skytrain monorail system. The Makati-BGC Skytrain project of Infracorp. Development Inc. received the greenlight from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), a proposal that was originally sent last October 2017. The said project is a PHP3 billion monorail that will connect BGC in Taguig to Guadalupe in Makati. The Makati-BGC Skytrain is a two-kilometer monorail system that will reduce travel time between Guadalupe MRT station to BGC to five minutes. This project is also believed to benefit 60,000 to 100,000 commuters daily. Infracorp. Development Inc. said that they will build a Skytrain station near the Guadalupe MRT station and in Uptown Bonifacio. The company's president, Kevin Tan, shared that the Makati-BGC Skytrain could be operational as early as 2021.
