MotoGP season opener set this weekend, SPOTV to provide free trial on streaming app

The 2023 MotoGP season will kick off in the coming weekend.

The start of the premier motorcycle racing series — which will be the event’s 75th edition — will be held on March 26 in Portugal, who is hosting the season’s initial race for the first time.

For this year, the 21 Grand Prix as well as the additional 21 Sprint races will be held in 18 different countries.

To kick off the event, SPOTV announced that it is offering a free trial on its streaming app.

In a statement, the sports entertainment platform said that it is offering two weeks of free live streaming on the SPOTV NOW should they sign up between March 22 to April 4. However, SPOTV explained that the free trial will commence for two weeks from date of sign up.

Aside from the celebration of the MotoGP’s 75th edition in the history of the Motorcycle World Championship, 2023 is also a big year in the motorsport scene in general as the 1,000th Grand Prix at Le Mans will be celebrated in May.

“Watch all the action unfold with SPOTV’s full coverage of all MotoGP races this year on its linear channels as well as on SPOTV NOW - which also includes the Helicam and onboard camera views. Additionally, the SPOTV crew will also be on-the-ground in Portugal to bring viewers additional content that they can access on social media such as: Behind-the-scenes and daily highlight clips, Facebook onsite Live sessions at the paddock starting and fan zones and exclusive rider interviews,” the company said.

To note, SPOTV NOW is available in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore on Google Play Store and App Store while SPOTV channels are available in the Philippines via Cignal TV and Skycable.
