Last year, the contract for the “Safe Trips” campaign between the Japanese automaker’s local distributor and the DOT was renewed. The aforementioned program, which was introduced in 2020, was created to promote the local tourism industry through safe and responsible travel during the pandemic.

Under the campaign, Nissan tapped Filipino artists Barbie Almalbis and Noel Cabangon for "Ingat Kayo" an anthem that promotes safety during the pandemic and highlights the Filipino culture of care. The song was written by NPI General Manager for Sales, Rollie Navarro.
