Nissan equips Singapore-market X-Trail with e-Power, will PH get it too?

Nissan has outfitted the Singapore-market X-Trail sport utility vehicle (SUV) with its e-Power technology.

The Nissan X-Trail e-Power uses a setup that consists of two electric motors and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that recharges the automobile’s lithium-ion battery, which gives the SUV an electric vehicle-like driving experience with instantaneous and smooth acceleration.

It is also equipped with Nissan’s e-4ORCE technology, which integrates the carmaker’s electric propulsion system and four-wheel drive control technologies with its chassis-control technology, which means that would-be owners can enjoy a huge leap in terms of acceleration, cornering, and braking.

Other notable features of the Singaporean-spec Nissan X-Trail include a triple-screen cockpit (12.3-inch instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment display, and 10.8-inch head-up display), the Nissan e-Pedal Step, and the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of safety features.

To recall, the Nissan X-Trail was once available in Nissan Philippines’ roster of vehicles. However, it was silently pulled out of the brand’s lineup not too long ago.

On that note, it is only befitting to ask if Nissan will bring back the X-Trail nameplate in the Philippine automotive scene? And if so, will it bring the e-Power variant to sit alongside the Kicks e-Power?
