MANILA: All four northbound lanes under the Marilao Bridge in the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) are now passable to vehicular traffic.

NLEX Corporation said that the damage was due to a truck violating regulations.The NLEX Corporation made the announcement, saying that the major repairs for the bridge had been completed as of midnight of June 23.
“NLEX has expedited the repair work on the Marilao Bridge, which sustained significant damage due to a truck violating regulations,” the company said in a statement.
“Rest assured, NLEX is committed to improving safety and traffic management across key areas of the expressway to ensure the safety and convenience of our valued customers,” it added.
To recall, the aforementioned thoroughfare suffered damages after it got hit by a truck last June 19. The same portion got hit by a truck a few months back.
The latest mishap resulted in the death of an individual and injured passengers (including a two-year-old infant) who were hit by the bridge girder.
Earlier, NLEX Corporation suspended the toll collection in Balintawak to Meycauayan and offered to construct a new and upgraded bridge to support the plans of both the national and local government agencies.
