Oil firms to jack up pump prices by at least P2/L

Oil firms are set to raise the prices of gasoline and kerosene by P2 per liter each and diesel by P2.50 per liter.When will the adjustments take effect?
Some local players will implement adjustments on pump prices as early as 12:01 a.m. tomorrow.Based on their respective advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, Petron, and Unioil will raise the price of gasoline products by P2 per liter and diesel by P2.50 per liter.
Aside from that, some of the aforementioned brands shall also jack up the price of kerosene by P2 per liter.
The movements, which other fuel companies are expected to follow, shall take place tomorrow (September 19) — as early as 12:01 a.m. to some companies.
Last week, the price of gasoline went up by P0.20 per liter; diesel, P0.40 per liter; and kerosene, P0.20 per liter.
