Pioneer PH Launches New Pioneer Z-Series Multimedia Receivers

Pioneer AVH-Z7050BT

Pioneer Electronics Asia Center recently launched its new Pioneer Z-Series multimedia receivers composed of the 1-DIN AVH-Z7050BT and the 2-DIN AVH-Z5050BT, AVH-Z2050BT, and the AVH-Z1050DVD, with the aftermarket car audio system manufacturer stating that the entire range "offers even greater smartphone connectivity, convenient one-cable connection, and a superior audio-visual performance."

According to Pioneer, all Bluetooth-capable Z-Series receivers can simultaneously connect up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices, with users able to browse their media library through the upgraded Bluetooth AVRCP 1.6 capability. Most important, the entire range allows drivers to use a variety of mobile apps on their smartphone by simply connecting it to the head unit via USB cable. Waze, for example, is easier to view and navigate with via the receiver’s larger touchscreen system. Streaming music and videos through the head unit is also possible through the Z-Series' AppRadio Mode+ feature.

Pioneer has also improved the graphic user interface of the Z-Series units, with icon display customization for a more flexible and personalized screen layout and color, and design customization with 112 backlight illumination colors and seven background themes.

Video support is another feature that the Z-Series has improved upon, with full high-definition, 1080p support for popular video file formats like MP4 and MKV and a new 24-bit full-color LCD screen.

The Pioneer Z-Series also supports NTFS file format and can read and play larger files stored in portable hard disks with minimal lag. And with the Anti-Distracted Driving Act now in place, the capability to make hands-free voice commands through iPhone’s Siri and Google Assistant using the Z-Series is a very welcome feature.

"The world is more connected than ever. Together with the proliferation of smartphones and mobile internet across Southeast Asia, local drivers are expecting better seamless connectivity in their in-car infotainment systems," said Pioneer Electronics Asia Center's Deputy General Manager of Business Planning and Marketing Division Takao Chiba. "The new Z-series multimedia receivers were developed to meet consumers' evolving expectations of easier smartphone connectivity and superior audio/video performance. With that in mind, we have focused on both hardware and software upgrades to offer a complete and improved user experience."

The prices of the Pioneer Z-Series units range from P25,999 for the AVH-Z1050DVD to P41,999 for the AVH-Z7050BT.
