Recaro to release limited-edition Podium GF

Recaro Automotive announced that it will release the limited-edition Podium GF, a product that honors the brand’s 60th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“There is so much history to look back upon as the brand Recaro turns 60 and the 24 hours of Le Mans turns 100, but what’s most exciting is considering what the future holds. We are excited to develop new seating technology for the new generation of racers whose exploits will define the next 100 years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” Recaro Automotive Product Development and Brand Global Vice President Nicole McElroy said.

The Recaro Podium GF is a state-of-the-art, street-legal,
Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile-approved, glass-fiber shell offered with two degrees of padding: one in 10 millimeters (mm) and another in 20mm.

The Recaro Podium GF L (10mm padding) is intended for drivers with a large build while the GF M (20mm padding) is intended for drivers with a medium build.

Both versions share features like blue leather, black microfiber, and white stitching, with the 24H Le Mans logo on the seat padding and backrest.

“For 60 years, Recaro seats have been featured in some of the world’s best cars, both on the street and competing on the greatest global racing circuits. To be part of the 24H Le Mans 100th anniversary is an honor and a privilege, made even more special as we continue our own year-long 60th-anniversary celebration,” stated Recaro Automotive President and Chief Operating Officer Emil Kreycik.

In Germany, the Recaro Podium GF will be available in summertime (from June to September) of 2023. It will have a sticker price of €3,324 (approximately P199,76).
